Yesterday when I braked at 65 mph. I got a shudder in the steering wheel, like you would get when you have a warped rotor. This continued every time I braked, then when going slow on a back road, I heard a metallic noise kind of tinny sounding, the next time I had to brake the shudder was gone. Has anyone experienced this or have a idea what is wrong.

If I were you I'd be pulling the wheels and checking things out. You've could have broken a bolt that insinuated itself between the pad and rotor and finally worked it's way out. OTOH you could have picked up a rock that did the same thing.

However brakes are nothing to wonder about. Pull the wheels and have a quick look and make sure all the necessary parts are still there. Better safe than sorry.

Check the stone guard at the bottom of you disc brake rotors, might be bent allowing something to get between rotor and guard.
