I've had my 2011 C70 aligned several times over the last year or so, but I am still getting excessive wear on the inside of the rear tires. I've read here that replacing the rear upper control arms with adjustable units could fix the problem. Any thoughts on this or other suggestions? Anyone had luck with the adjustable units?
Thank you.
On most Volvos the only thing that can be changed during alignment is the toe-in. (240s do have an easy front camber adjustment)
Rear camber is not adjustable.
Aftermarket adjustable rear upper control arms will make camber adjustable in the rear. Luckily those arms fit on a few other model Volvos and other manufacturers that use that same platform, Mazda and Ford? I believe - so they should be easy to find.
Here’s what the rear tires look like. My plan is to install new lower control arms and new adjustable upper control arms. I have 160,000
miles and original components. Anything else I should look at in order to fix this problem or should the upper and lower control arms do the trick?
Thank you
