Just bought a 2000 C70, and the convertible top doesn't work. I follow the owners manul directions, car is in park, parking brake on, and push the switch.... Nothing. Not even a click, or a indicator light.... Nothin'

Any ideas where I could start trouble shooting ? The guy I bought it from told me about it, but he thought it was a track issue, but really was just guessing.

If it was, wouldn't the switch at least try to do something ?

 

Welcome to the fourm. Check the fuse. Start with the simplest thing and then work your way to the more difficult.

 

Is there just one main fuse for the top, or is there a couple different ones that you know of ?

 

I'm not sure as I don't have a convertible. I would think it would be one fuse. Check the owners manual and see if it tells you which fuse it is.

 

is there a curtain in trunk that needs to be in place before top can go down? I know the hardtop conv won't work until curtain is in it's track.
