Default Long term battery disconnection -Problems or not???

Hi all, I have just bought a 2007 C70 and I am very happy with everything about it. However because I need to go away for a few months I will need to disconnect the battery because if I leave it on it will run totally flat in no time at all. I cant even leave it on a trickle charge because it will be outside under a car cover only. Please tell me are there any concerns with disconnecting the battery for long periods of time. I worry about losing everything from the ECU and that it will cost me lots to have it repaired.
All advice received with thanks :-)

No, no problems. But the car does cycle the hydraulic pump every so often to keep the lines primed for the top. So when you get back, cycle the top a few times.

FY most vehicles ECU memories can be restored by driving the vehicle thru 3 cycles to reload the brain. Each time start vehicle, drive for at least 15 minutes somewhere to teach the ECU park vehicle, shutoff. Repeat. 3 cycles required! ECU will relearn engine management and transmission data. I have completed this on my Ford F150, Lincoln and Volvo after dead battery.

Thank you to both MSGTUSMC and ES6T for the information much appreciated.
ES6T I am totally useless as far as car mechanics go but I am always willing to have a go. Please tell me " But the car does cycle the hydraulic pump every so often to keep the lines primed for the top. So when you get back, cycle the top a few times." How do I do that??? sorry to be so basic!!!

There is no need to "teach" the vehicle anything. Aside from your radio presets and time.

You just open and close the top a few times. Wait a minute between each time so the pump doesn't stop to protect from overheating.

Make sure you have the ignition key turned in position II before reconnecting the battery. This is to prevent electrical surcharge to electronics. This car is sensitive to this issue.

The gasoline in the tank does degrade in time, perhaps use some stabilizer if it's for more than an year. I would keep the tank 1/4 full for this reason, and refill it as soon as starting the car.

By careful with the car cover as depending on the quality, there could be friction on the paint from the wind, which could damage the finish.

This is made up.

Also, keep the tank all the way full. Otherwise, condensation can build up on the sides depending on temperature and humidity. Add the proper amount of fuel stabilizer to the tank and run the engine about 15 minutes.
