I havestrange things happeningso one maybe someone can point me in the right direction with avoiding the dealer.

My problem is sometimes in the last few days on my 2000 VolvoC70 convertible (Automatic)I will start the car and immediately I have:
1) The "brake" light and the "ABS" stay on .
2) Thespeedometer and odometer do not work
3) When I pull out from a stopping position it is like I am in "winter mode" but it really isn't.
4) The cruise control does not work.
5) and a couple of times the transmission arrow has been flashing.

The drivability of the car is fine. And I have checked everything. After a few minutes all the lights and everything works fine then the Check Engine light comes on. I could stop and turn it off and restart and this sometimes resets everything.

I pulled the codes and turned the check engine light off but same thing happened 1/2 day later.
The codes were:
1) PO722 - Output speed sensor curcuit no signal
2) P1618 - Manfacturer Control, auxilary inputs and outputs


Please someone point me in the right direction and tell me what to do.

The ABS module is bad. You can get it rebuilt here.

How sure are you that repairing the ABS module will erase all my describedsymptoms? I have had the ABS module in my 98 S70 and it took care of the tracs and ABS lights and the functionality of both but I didn't have any other symptoms.

Please advise.

The 2000 is a networked car.
The ABS controls the speedo VIA Network.
