What is this electical connector for?
I noticed that i have an electrical connector near the battery that isn't plugged into anything. I have no idea what it is but have some pics of it.
Anyone what it's for and if it should be plugged into something?

That sure doesn't look like a "factory" connector! Perhaps a prior owner was driving a radio amp or other 'add-on' accessory. When that individual sold his Volvo, most likely he disconnected the accessory and took it with him.

Good timing!
I was just going to post a 'why doesn't my cruise control work' question. It hasn't worked since i got the car. I was trying to think of something to fix today...looks like i've got something to do now.
Thanks

Let us know how it goes. The cruise motor screws to the bottom of the battery tray. You might be able to see if from underneath.
Instead of removing the battery and battery tray.

Volvo must not have been using the 'water tight' connectors back then as they use now. I'll bet you used to service a ton of corrosion issues when you worked on them!

That is a factory plug. Remember he has a 1995. there is alot of plugs on that car that look similiar to that one.

They actually work pretty good. The rubber around the connector would fall apart before the corrosion issues came about. They used them for the most part till 1998 on the S90's for the coil pack plugs.
