my projected suspension upgrades
whats up all,
i'm looking to lower my car on these nice 18" rims i purchased, but i would like a ittle advice.
i'm going with the bilstein HD struts and either eibach prokits or the vogland german springs.
what are your thoughts on both springs?
i would like to get the springs that will give the best stance.
thanks

Well stance all depends on how low you want to go.
So what is the lowering height for each spring kit?
Both are good brands and you wont go wrong with either one.

the voglands will lower 1.4"
the eibach pro will lower 0.8"
the voglands sound like they will be too low and the eibachs don't sound low enough. 1.1" or 1.2" would be a nice medium.

i really wish i could get some energy suspension urethane bushing as a suspension upgrade, but i looked at the suspension on my car yesterday and i can see why we can't get any cause most of the bushings are really wierd looking! wow, i would really have to look in the energy suspension parts bin and see what was useable, but that won't happen either ;( if i only lived in cali for a lil while....

Go with the lower the Vogtlands.

Other than research. I was looking at lowering my sons 850 and after reading about the Eibach, Vogtlands and others, for the price the Vogtlands to me were the best. A progressive spring which means that the ride wont be as rough as a non progressive spring. Also, they have quite a history (been around for a number of years). Right now lowering is on hold (lack of $$'s) but when I do get around to lowering my S60 and his 850 I will go with the Vogtlands.
