I purchased a 1999 Volvo C70 used from a private owner. I was informed that the person only drove it a few times due and had only owned it for a few months. He informed me of all of the known problems with the Volvo. those issues included the following.. passage rear window doesn't go up, the key gets stuck in the ignition, stereo wont turn on ( it says CODE on the display screen)???,#1 The convertible top will not go up. As of right now I'm really only trying to figure out a few different things to fix the convertible top, the other issues can wait. Is there anything that anyone could tell me to do before I take it to the Volvo dealer. The previous owner did say that he was able to get it to go up only once by having it in park and emergency break lifted. I have tried, but nothing happened. I do have a couple service lights on, check engine, a fan light and EBS has been on and just went off. I changed some fuse's. no luck fixing any of the issues. I haven't had any luck finding a manual hand crack to put the top up. If you can help in anyway please do. I'm in love with the car. Please HELP : )

If the key gets stuck in the ignition, that means that the shifter is probably not properly in the PARK position, which will cause the roof to malfunction.
