I replaced the head gasket few weeks ago now car won't start. Starter turns but engine won't fire. Compression tested all 5 cylinders approx 100psi all of them so timing should be good for engine to fire. Fuel pressure detected. Gas squirts out of the end Schrader valve.
New spark plugs. Coil packs are original but they shouldn't all stop sparking at the same time after head gasket replacement, right? I tested main relay and there's 12V at pin 30. I get continuity between 85 & 86 (19 Ohms).
Stupid question. WHat is 11a 1-0 below? Are those fuses? I don't see fuse 11 branching out. I see fuse 11 is just one 15A fuse. By the way, I tested all the fuses and they are good. I assume 11B 1-5 are coil pack pin 4.Is that correct?
Resistance between pin 1-4 on coil packs harness connectors and Main Relay 87 is open.
Cam sensor pins 1-3 & pins 1-2 read 7M-8M. I bought a new sensor and reads the same. I read resistance should be 5K or so. Crankshaft position sensor reads 1-2K Ohm
! read ECMs are fairly reliable and I didn't touch ECM during head gasket repair. I read that ECM grounds the circuit from coil packs to Main relay. I did check all the ground straps and there's good electrical connection (0 Ohms)
I read codes using OBD-II and no codes were found.
The screenshot is showing fuses 1-5 in the B fusebox. Instruction how to use Volvo wiring diagrams can be found in the first few pages of each book. And diagram books can be found
I get no resistance between pin 87 of main relay 2/32 and pin 4 (or Pin 1, 2 or pin 3) of any of the coil packet harness pins. What should I get at any of these pins?
I hope you got your car running. If not I know this sounds so elementary but I have seen the ground bonding strap between block and frame cause all kinds of problems when disconnected. I would check backside of engine at firewall this is the hardest area to see and easy to make mistakes there.
