2 weeks ago my power steering started to make a lot of noise suddenly. It got worst each day and steering got much tighter. Finally it seemed that the pump quit. No power steering at all. Checked fluid 1st day was good. Checked fluid when pump quit real low on fluid. No spots in driveway. Bought a replacement pump at a salvage yard. Purchased a bottle of power steering fluid and LUCAS Power Steering Stop Leak. Parked car in driveway then noticed pool of fluid on cement. Used turkey baster to remove old fluid. Bubbles in fluid. Filled with LUCAS only. Started vehicle, turned full lock left/right twice. Sounds slowly quieted. Drove car around the block several times steering was just like new. No noise, easy to steer. Easy fix! Now have extra pump I didn't replace & a bottle of fluid in trunk.
