Default RADIO LIGHT

Does anybody know how to replace the light bulb in the radio of a 2000 C70 that illuminates the display?

Search this forum..............it may be in the 850 series........but there are some instructions that would probably apply to the 915 radio.

Ok, I figured out how to replace the light bulbs but now I can't find anybody who sells them. The local Volvo dealer doesn't carry them and Radio Shack has no idea of what I'm talking about, and I haven't found them on the web. Any, ideas on where I can get the mini light bulbs in the San Francisco area.

I do not know what the bulb looks like but if you take it to Radio Shack you can compare it with their catalogue. You are looking for a 12 to 14 volt bulb..............compare the base of the Volvo bulb with those in the catalogue and you will probably find a match. I did that for a German auto. In fact, the bulbs that I needed had to be soldered in............radio Shack have many bulbs, one of which will probably work.

You get them at Radio Shack. You get the bulbs, take your old bulbs out of the black plastic base by breaking the glue seal and then rewrap the new bulbs in the black plastic. I've done it and it's a real pain. You can not buy the bulbs in the black plastic base. I know this is true on my 850.
