Default Replacing the Audio System

Can anyone enlighten me about replacing the audio system in the 2004 C70? I love the speakers and amp seem fine. I just want updated features, including mp3 imput.

Parts needed would be an installation kit for single din radio, or put in a double din of the same size as the existing radio. Wire harness adapter for radio, and rca to din adapter to keep the factory amplifier, otherwise you will need to run new speaker wire without that amp adapter. No antenna adapter is required. All parts should be available at your local stereo shop except the din amp adapter. Buy it off ebay or make your own, good luck.

Default Existing radio?

What radio do you have in the car now?

It's the Volvo SC-901. Apparently the "hole" in the dash for this unit is non-standard so there aren't any plug and play custom units and installations out there.

there are plenty of aftermarket options for a head unit. look on ebay and look for double din units that would make things easy for you. you can also find a harness that will allow you to hook the aftermarket hu to the factory amps. the biggest thing is finding a hu that uses a dolby surround so you can have all your dash speakers working.

let us know what you find
