Default Reset after accident?

How do you reset the safety after an accident? I slid off the road and need to now the vehicle will not run down the road. I beleive there must be a fuel cut off safety that needs to be reset. How do I do that?

Additionally how do I reset the ROPS? That is less critical as I need to take it to the shop to aligh the vehicle and repair some other stuff.

Do you mean the car will not start?

The car will start but not run for long. After my trip into the ditch it idled fine. After being pulled back onto the road it would start but would only run for a short while before stalling. I beleive that the retreival also set off the ROPS.

The owners manual does not say anything that I could find about a safety reset on the fuel cut off or the ROPS.

Maybe something was damaged when it was being pulled back out. If the intercooler was cracked or broke then it would cause the problem you have. I would start there.

I don't believe that the C70 has a fuel 'cut off' safety switch. They are usually installed in the boot but I doubt that Volvo had such a device on the older C70's.

OK. That is more problematic then I hoped for. Would the cracked Intercooler not throw a service engine code?
