Default Shift Blind Remove & replace

The shift blind in my 2009 C70 has broken to pieces and I need to remove the shift plate and replace it. I have already ordered a new blind. My question is of course how to remove the plate/console. I have searched all over the internet and all I find are NON C70's. Well, the C70 is different. You can't get to the floating console screws readily by removing the console cover & cigarette lighter. I have removed it and can only access the passenger side screw for the floating console. The one on the drivers side is WAYYYY underneath. I can see it but there is no way that I can think of to remove it. Please help. I do not want to have t take this to the stealership.

My 2008 also did the same and cost me $250 @ dealer+ - to repair. I realize this really is no help.

I figured it out. Have to pop off the small piece under the E brake, then pry the remaining to the side. This gives access to the torx screw on the drivers side. Took 2 hours. Part cost $19.99. I'm a happy camper.

Correction dealer repair cost was actually $190.00
If I had fuc'd with it, probably could have been $387.00
