Default Trunk Release

This is kinda a small thing, but being cheapI figured I would ask.
My trunk release still works as far as tripping the latch to release. What it will doquite often now is not "kick up" the lid far enough so it will stay unlatched.
Anybody ever played with this before?

I haven't had that problem, but it should be easy to solve by replacing the trunk struts/shocks. Once they wear out they don't have enough strength to hold the trunk open. They are fairly inexpensive. You can pick them up at auto parts stores or on ebay.

When the boot is released, should it pop all the way up?

With mine, I just hear a mechanical release. Its then up to me to go open it. Sometimes it re-latches, if I dont open it in time, which sucks.

Yours sounds fine to me.

Changing the trunk struts/shocks may be the thing you need to do. Mine used to do the same thing, and would often re-latch if I don't hurry to open it. Now that is a thing of the past.
