XC60 Google Assistant no longer making calls
I have my Samsung phone paired with the car and everything used to work perfectly when it came to telling it to call somebody in my contacts. Now within the past week, it suddenly doesn't work anymore. When I tell it to call someone, it says "it sounds like you're trying to make a call, is that right?" I say yes, then it says "sorry I didn't understand." Anyone know how to get this working again? Can't very well do hands-free if I have to pick up the phone and dial it myself.
I have the same problem. Seems to have started soon after a mandatory, in house, SW update. I think it is a bug in the new SW. My problem is on an S60 so not sure if we will have the same SW level. New level=V2.5.
Update on my own response. I just had to do this unpair/repair AGAIN, after Google Assistant started saying "Sorry, I can't make calls yet." My Samsung Galaxy ZFold 3 had done a system update recently, so not sure if that had anything to do with it. I also noticed that in the car Bluetooth Settings, I had to tap on the phone icon next to my device -- apparently to enable making calls. No idea why that would not be active by default after pairing a phone.
My update: It did not work for me either. Re-pair, reset LTE and reboot the Infotainment system. Now Google says "No number for "name" in contact list". New error message but if I try multiple times it does make the call. Not very reliable.
