I received a $300 instant rebate card in the mail from Volvo offering a software update to add the Polestar software features to my 2022 Volvo XC60 Hybrid Recharge. There is little info on the card as to what this would add to my car. It says quicker off-throttle response, increased gearshift speed and precision, improved engine performance and enhanced AWD torque distribution. Has anyone had this done? It sounds like it could be $1,000 even with the card. Is it worth it? Thanks for any comments.

 

The polestar software for the extended range xc60 t8 does not add any hp or torque, the regular range is below.

It doesn't seem to be worth $1000 from the specs shown on your links. I think I will stick with my XC60 as it is. Thank you very much for the quick reply!!!

I had it done about a month and a half two months ago and I love it. There is no lag when I go to pass a vehicle from a stop it has a quicker start. The shifting seems to be more beneficial to getting to a higher speed quicker. And I know they say that it doesn’t increase the horsepower of torque but by the seat of my pants it feels like it did. No complaints here well worth the money from my opinion

 

So what did they charge you for the upgrade. I received a $300 card from Volvo but not how much it would cost using the discount.

Yes, it’s selected every time you drive.

 

Just had the Polestar Software upgrade done on my 2023 XC 60 B5 Ultimate. Definitely noticed smoother shifts and throttle responses. Will be checking on gas milage claims in the future. Only downside is the cost. Still I would recommend anyone to upgrade. The software claims 8 hp gain and increased torque.
