XC60 Tailgate sensor problem -- closes while I'm in the trunk!
I have a 2023 XC60 Recharge with the liftgate sensor. Many times now, including yesterday -- I will be loading groceries into the back of the car and my feet trip the sensor. The door starts to close while I'm in the trunk! I have to leap out of the way to avoid being hit. The sensor is supposed to be on the left side under the rear bumper. But it is activating on both the left AND the right side. And in my opinion, it shouldn't activate AT ALL if the door is open. It should only be used to OPEN the door. Anyone else having this issue? It seems dangerous, worthy of a recall. P.S. If I had to do it over again, I would not have purchased this option. It requires the car key to be super close to the car -- like right up to the back bumper. May as well just use my hands at that point.
I do have an appointment at the dealer for my standard 10k mile service. I'll let them know about this problem so they can look into it.

happened to me while I was applying ceramic coating 😅.
remember people there are No sensor that detect a person around the tailgate it’s just power operated shocks that detect pressure if the door is closing.

2020 XC60
Same problem. I now have tailgate PTSD, and today,
Nov 26, I was standing well clear of the tailgate, not touching the fob, and my husband, whose foot was firmly on the ground, well behind the bumper, was hit in the head by that tailgate again. I’m tired of this. I’ve reported to the dealership, they couldn’t repeat the problem. I used “on call” and immediately called corporate. Waiting for a response.
