Default XC40 PHEV - Park in is a failure - am I alone?

The Park in feature seemed a nice extra when we purchased (delivered end June 2021, so I guess we are '2021 first half' model).
But it has been a disappointing failure.

Even using it is difficult.
To have to swipe the centre display, then hit one on a number of buttons, as you drive along looking for a space, is hazardous.
Surely this is a facility which should be able to be invoked by Voice Control? I've tried "Park in" - and got offers of other things. Am I using the wrong words?

Then, in the location where I most frequently try to use it, it usually offers "Slot found" when there is clearly no such space.
I've had it reverse way up the street looking for its imaginary slot. The last time it did it, it started to turn into the tiny space between two cars; with other traffic now waiting, I had to give up before seeing how close it would go.

Initial response from dealers was that sensors are ok.

I've had 2 instances of a brief display of "Park Assist System Sensors blocked Cleaning needed" back in November 21,
when driving in the right hand of 2 lanes (Australia, drive on left) - not parking at all - which cleared almost immediately.

I have had just a few successful Park ins - where there was a large space, or even one just big enough.
The manoeuvre was completed successfully as expected.
If only I could use it more easily, and it actually found slots reliably.

So:
Does anyone else regularly use park in?
Are you successful?
