Im a newbie and I just bought a used 01 S40 T 1.9from a dealership in Ga yesterday, It was a previous lease has 80,000 miles on it and I love it but I woke up this morning and my S40 has a oil leak. Its dropped about a quater size of oil on the ground. Any idea's on how much a repair shop would be to fix?

Also the dealership didnt have the repair records or the oil change records to this vechile so should I be using Conventional oil or syn oil?

I have to get it aligned tomorrow and I was going to get the oil changed while I was there.

Would anyonerecommend getting the tranny fushed? since I have heard that the traany's are some what weak.

Lastly the car only came with only 1 key and no remote does anyone know how much a key is from the dealership and a remote?

Oil - On the turbo engines always use syntetic oil and the best you can find.. Do not save money on it

Keys / Alarm - You can buy them on e-bay but the dealer will have to reprogram

Flush - A few people state that flushing can damage your tranny... So..Better be cautios and change tranny oil only
