Hey there. It is my first time on here. And my first time working with a Volvo. I have a 01 s40. It’s a 1.9 T and it has 4 cylinders. I’m trying to locate the camshaft solenoid. And the camshaft sensor. For a 0017 code. Fix. Anything that you guys know would help.

 

Start at rockauto.com - you can type in your year and model, and then drill down to the parts you're looking for. From there, just buy 'em, or use the part numbers to search further.

Sorry - not at all familiar with that generation S40...

 

search youtube for "s40 vvt solenoid" and you will see several vids. Also search the S40 board as there's been quite a few good posts regarding how it can get gummed up and possibly cleaned. As to finding parts, you'll see there's both the cam gear and the solenoid. My usual tip is to start with a Volvo dealer web store to get the volvo part number(s) then you can shop online for the parts. Volvo friendly sites like FCP and IPD USA may also have some good content in their blogs and will recommend specific after market vendors.
