I was able to disconnect the wipers by just unplugging them from the connectors in front of the radiator (hope that does not throw any codes). But now I would like to disconnect the squirts that go to them.

Are the operated by a separate pump that I could just unplug or what? Car is old and just do not want to waste the time to get the wipers fixed...

These days, cars use spray nozzles to clean headlights instead of wipers. The Volvos had both. If you disconnected the electric cables to the motors, why not leave the sprayers? They only come on when you acrivate the windshield washer (both headlight wipers and sprayers). You would have to plug the hoses somehow otherwise.

 

One of the hose fittings if broke off from the wiper so it just squirts at the car in front of me ;-)

Your right though, the car is old and why bother ....
