Does anyone know where the Cabin Air Filter is located on the 06 S40? How easy is it to change? How much is the Filter? Dealer wanted to charge me over $50 for mat and labor. Thanks!!!

 

Cabin air filter cost about $25, better have your dealer to change it. $50 is reasonable price

 

yeah, the cabin air filter is a pita, the panel on the drivers side needs to be removed, then the gas pedal, then fold down the carpet remove the 3 7mm screwed, and tear it out, the wad the new up like a piece of trash, stick it in there

 

My dealer wanted $115 for this. Would you do it yourself for this price?

 

I would definately do it your self. I bought a TYC cabin filter off ebay for around $14 with free shipping. The procedule isn't that bad at all as long as your a little flexable and have a decent 1/4 drive ratchet/socket set with a universal.
