I was trying to install an aftermarket intake on my s40 2.4i but i noticed there is some kind of computer mounted on the air box, has anyone with this model found a way to install an intake and relocate the computer?

 

What cold air intake kit are you installing?

The K&N Typhoon kit and others that are made for this car (Viva) have provision for relocating the computer. There were some reports with the early K&N kits that the computer would over heat. This has since been remedied. Need to be careful where you mount it apparently.

I just looked and apparently K&N does not make a Typhoon kit for the 2.4i, just the T5.

The only thing I can suggest is to look where they mount it in the links above. They look like home-brew for the 2.4i. Also see where they mount it on the Typhoon for the T5.
