Post 12 volts sockets not working/charging and temperature reading minus

Hi all,

Could you please advise in providing the solution to the below 2 problems I'm having with S40_2006_2.4i.

Problems
  1. The 12 volts sockets on the driver and the rear seat is not working, yet the other the one at the trunk is functioning correctly.....What is the problem here and what needs to be done?
  2. Having heard a major service at the car, the temperature has been reading correctly up until recently where it reads as minus (-), yet the temperature outside is on positive (+)...Also, what is the problem here and what needs to be done?
Please help.

Thanks to the forum and I now feel that I'm at home or belong!

Hi - as far as the 12V sockets are concerned I believe that they are on two different fuses. My guess would be that one is blown. I think that one is a 15A - there should be a spare under the cover of the fuse compartment in the engine bay.
