Temperature not reading

Exclamation Temperature not reading

2002 s60 2.4 base, my temperature under my time on the dash reads -.- my mechanic told me there was a temp sensor in the passenger mirror that had been smashed in an accident. i replaced the mirror with the same year mirror with the same features but it still doesnt read my temperature. any ideas?

If it's anyth like the rest of Volvo parts if its not the exact same part number it won't work. Try unplugging the battery for a few minutes and see if it resets

I think I have to look at it again but I think the temp sensor is in the drivers door mirror assembly. Easy way to check is to see if there is a nipple sticking out bottom of the assembly.
