2000 S40 Won't start fuel pump bad?
I have a 2000 S40 1.9T. It's my wife's car but of course I have to fix it. She drove it home Friday night and now it won't start. The engine cranks but won't fire. I pulled the line off to the Fuel Pressure Regulator and cranked the engine but no fuel comes out the line. I assume that normally if the fuel pump was working there should be fuel coming out of the line? Another question I have is could this be a clogged fuel filter? I don't hear a pump run when the key is turned on so I am expecting a bad fuel pump. Just another problem in a long list of problems associated with the first and last brand new car I will ever buy. And the last Volvo I will ever buy built under Ford ownership.
I'll take my old 90 240 anyday over this piece of junk.
