2000 VOLVO S40/V40 Front End
Hi guys, I'm new to this site. I'm super impressed with the knowledge that you guys have on these cars. Its great being able to communicate with people and get real answers to questions you have without it costing you tons of money.
I have purchased my first Volvo to use as my daily driver. I got a great deal on a 2000 Volvo V40 from the original owner which was one of my clients. Its pretty base no leather, cd ect. I have upgraded to the HU-615 head unit by using the wiring diagrams you guys have posted. It turned out great and works perfect. After contacting the dealership, they informed me that my 2000 only interchanges with body pieces from a 2000. Where as the 2001-2004 all interchange. I went and purchased the black housing headlights and corner lights before I found this info out. The headlights fit perfectly, but the corner lights are for the 01-04 so they do not fit.
So my question is, does anyone happen to know if I am able to find a front clip (hood, front bumper, and both fenders) from an 2001, will those parts bolt directly on? I'm hoping that no mods will be needed, that way I can use the new corner lights I bought as well as upgrade the grill since there are not any cosmetic upgrades for the 2000 that I have been able to find. Any help would be great! Thank you guys!
