Need help. My 01 is misfiring at higher rpms. I had the codes pulled and they were misfire on cylinder 2 and catalytic converter. I replaced the the plugs this moring and still have the misfire. Any suggestions on what to try next? Coil wires?

It is such an annoying situation where you experience what seems to be like a bad plugs wire or valve. The mechanic suggested that the valves be removed as well as replace inlet valves. He recommended removing the exhaust valves and to clean stems of carbon. Valve steam seals were also replaced.
