Default 2001 S40 Manual Car Seat height adjustment broken?

Seat Diagram

My drivers seat is sunken down in the middle and can't seem to get the height up. The front part is raised and putting pressure on the back of my tights. I am not sure if I am operating the manual raise properly or if its just broken. Am I suppose to pump up part "B" in the above diagram to raise it up? How do I bring down the front section? By pumping down handle A? If the height adjusting feature is broken, is it easily fixable?

I have the same seats, They are pretty wonky, try using a lubricating spray and get to know your adjuster levers. Once you get the seats loose its pretty easy to calibrate a setting to your comfort while you are sitting in them.

I solved it. Thanks. I thought the handles were pumps to raise the seats up and down. But they are just release levers. One has to manually manipulate the car seat by holding the backrest while lifting the release levers.
