i took exhaust cam gear off didnt hold cam it moved i took back cover off exhaustt cam how do you get intake cover off the back of cam and do you need to take spacer off cam on exhaust side to do the timming hold tool

 

For the intake cam plug you punch a hole in the middle with a screw driver and pry it out. Unfortunately it's usually ruined after.

On the exhaust cam you remove the reluctor wheel for the cam sensor. This exposes the end of the cam where the cam holder tool bolts.
