Timming belt proceedure
Well I was going to take in our 2000 S70 N/A to have the timing belt, pulleys and water pump done, but I think I want to do it my self. From what I have seen the timing belt tensioner looks like a VW, I assume you use a hex tool to turn the tensioner eccentric till the tension arrow lines up and then tighten down, but I'd like to be sure. Is this how it is done? Does it have marks to line up the cam and crank pulleys? or are they in retarded places like on a VW. anything special about the crank bolt or crank pulley removal? Could anyone give me some quick tips? Im a pretty good mechanic, just need some instructions, or even illustrations would be wonderful!
