I should know this, but I need to ask does the 2002 s40 Volvo have the same headlights for the regular beams and the high beams? This would make it easier to find a replacement for my drivers side high beam headlight.

55w H7s is the standard size with separate hi beam and low beam lamps (some Euro models may have the single bulb design but most US cars have separate bulbs) should be the same bulb part number...

 

In other words they are the same bulb. I am just wondering what I ask for when I go into Advance Autoparts.

H7 halogens 55 watt - big question is to buy one or the two pack ;-)

 

I think halogen lights are too bright. I just want to replace a defective light with a new light (not a halogen) the other three lights are not halogen.


I just want what should go there. What is the model light that should go there?

I had assumed the OEM H7s are Halogen (don't confuse halogens with the HID xenon or LED after market bulbs). Anyways, the OEM Part number is 989829. Google Volvo S40 989829 and you'll find what you need to know.
