Default 2002 Volvo S40 E Vac Leak

I just bought this car used and the engine light came on a few days ago. I'm sure the dealer turned it off to make the sale.
Anyway about a day after I got it (or maybe the same day) I noticed it has trouble starting. It still hasn't failed to do so but it take a few seconds. So natually I took it to advanved auto parts. They told me theres an e vac leak. I'm by no means an expert on cars but I've read that this could most likely be the fuel pressure regulator. So I took the cover off and inspected it. I don't really know what a good one and a bad one look like but this one look fine. Aside from minor rubber cracks in the "S" shape rubber. I'm assuming this won't make for a bad FPR though. Also I'm nearly positive this car is guzzling gas due to this leak. Does anyone have a similar problem? And or solution??

The evap system leak many times is a bad fuel tank cap. There are other causes but that one is most common.

The long cranking times before starting has been another common problem. This one is usually the Fuel Pressure Regulator. When my 2001 had that problem I first replaced the Idle Air Control motor which did not fix it. A new FPR, however, did the trick.
