We are having an ongoing problem with ourVolvo 2003 S40 s Diesel 1900 engine - done 35000 miles - its a lovely car. We've had the car since new and it's never been messed about with (if it doesn't buck up its ideas though - I'm gonna thump it).

When the fault originally showed the carsuddenly dropped power. When checked out however, no problem was identified and the fault had cleared.

Within the past 2 weeks thecar lost power on a steep hill and came to a stop. The car was allowed to roll back onto a flat area of the hill, given a rest. It started back up, but withhardly any power.We therefore arranged forthe carto be taken bytransporter toaVolvo garage. Theyadvised a broken wire which was repaired.

However, on the return journey from the garage the same problem returned after about 13 miles. The car went back in for repair and new relaysfitted (what ever they are). The car was then fine for 3 days of use, but yesterday the the same fault appeared. The car will require to go back into the Volvo garage tomorrow - any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
