Hey guys, a few hundred miles ago the CEL in my wife's S40 T5 came on. I didn't get a chance to read it. The CEL was accompanied by a noticeable loss of power, seems like the turbo stopped working. I couldn't hear the "whistle" anymore and the car was just a total dog. When it's working normally this thing is fast. It was an obvious difference.

A few days later the CEL shut off on it's own and drivability improved somewhat. It still feels like it's off a bit, although now I can hear the turbo at times so I know it's working.

Any ideas as to what's going on?

 

I'd head into the dealer, or your favorite shop and see it it stored any codes. It's kinda hard to guess with out any more info. Good Luck!
