2000 s70 will be driving and then the transmission stops working. Let it sit and it starts working. What sensors and where are they located that can cause the transmission to stop working. Might have an open wire that closes and opens. Need to know what and where on the engine can cause it. Going crazy in Miami.

 

What does stop working mean? How long do you let it sit? Is it running while sitting? Is it shifting normal when it is running? When was the last time it was serviced?

 

the car just starts to coast, engine running but no power to the wheels. I looked for anything like loose wires and found nothing. Started the car and it would backup and go forward but if you take it out on the road, no warning, just will stop working. Is there a valve internally that ports fluid to drive the wheels that could be getting signals to open?. When she got the car from her boyfriends stepfather, it drove from north Miami to south Miami and stopped running. It was towed back to the north and was told they either put in a new rebuilt tranny. They drove it for a month or so and now its not running again. Hope this info helps.
