2004 S40 1.8 with multiple issues
I have just joined and have a 2004 S40 saloon, I got the car in its present state and it has a few issues,
1, when you switch on the ignition the indicator/flasher relay starts clicking, none of the lights come on and the indicators flash as they should do including the hazard lights (4 way flasher).
2, when you switch off the ignition the cooling fan switches on, it only goes off when you switch on the ignition.
3, the inlet cam pulley has shattered. this model has the VVT on the inlet cam, is this common on this engine or is there anything else that could have caused this to happen?
I know I have a bit of work to do but I am more used to working on Vauxhall/Opels and Audis.
