Default 2004 s40 no electric/key fob stuck

i have a 04 s40 and when i tried to jump it at first my lights came on but as soon as i took the cables off everything died and my key fob wont come out of the ignition and wont turn all the way left, so i charged the battery and now i have no power at all, so i hooked it up to another car to jump again to see if i would atleast get lights but now i dont i get nothing at all even with the other car in jump, i cleaned the battery terminals, checked fuses, there is no cable from the drive selctor switch to release the key it all appears to be electric. Please help soon its my only car.

The key is held from turning all the way back by an electrical solenoid. Since you have no juice it's not going to cooperate.

Is the battery good? I mean "out of the car tested at the auto parts store" good? A bad battery will give all kinds of grief.

If the battery is good then check those 50 amp breakers in the engine compartment fuse box.

If all checks good you need to run a continuity test at the starter solenoid. Does the starter get 12 volts at the end of the red battery cable?

What Hudini said. You probably blew some fuse when you might put the jumper polarity backwards.
