My wife bought a 2004 V40 with 56k miles, and as far as I can see(it has NOT been to my local shop yet!) most things work as they should. The exception is the trip computer, which gives very strange readings. No ambient temperature reading at all, and thespeed fuel consumption, readings are wildly wrong, for example with half a tank of gas remaing it tells me that I have only 24 miles to go before the tank is emplty!
Does this means that the computer will need replacing, or is a sensor or fuse or whatever (I am not at all technically minded!).

If any member has any experience of this, please help!
