2005 needs flywheel
Why does the car needs a flywheel - ie is the clutch slipping or you can see its missing a few teeth for the starter? Assuming you have a manual transmission, a used flywheel would set you back $100 (check car-part.com) and you'd want to replace the clutch as well. I'd expect that to run 1500 to 2000 for parts and labor. With an automatic, there's a whole lot less parts so the flywheel flex plates go for $50 but you'd still need 8-10 hours or shop time to drop the transmission so you'd still be in the $1000-1200 range. Your car's value really depends on condition and options. Assuming its not a turbo in good condition, the car's probably worth $2000. Turbos with a manual are worth a bit more... So by my math its probably worth doing if you expect to keep the car for a while. If you are looking to trade it in, you'll get more sympathy than cash at this point.
