Hi, does anyone have an opinion on a good oil filter for the 2.4L; 2005 S40? [non Ti] I will just begin doing the oil change myself. The filter housing looks suspiciously like my 2002 Golf tdi oil filter housing... I have found on the web Mann VOL084147 & VOL051630 OP Parts so far.

 

Either the Volvo filter or the Mann filter are good. I have seen some sold under the Purolator that I didn't trust. It had a plastic center core and felt pieces on top and bottom that looked like they could shed fibers into the oil. Other Purolator boxes with the same number had Mann filters.

Hey they all look like the Mann filter. I usually wait for IPDUSA to have a sale and buy a bunch.
