2005 S40 crank but no start
Question here guys I have a 2005 S40 that all of sudden won't start but cranks over so I checked some things out like fuel pressure at the fuel rail getting pressure there so I think that means the fuel pump is good I believe but I don't really here the fuel pump activate and the other thing is that I believe I have a stater going bad cause the car won't turn over from time to time and it seems to be to turning over week when I try to start it now so any help would be appreciated thanks.
If you're not hearing the fuel pump, it's hard to imagine that you have fuel pressure (unless it's just left over from last time the car was running, maybe).
Measure the battery voltage. Hot weather kills marginal batteries in a heartbeat, and that's likely the problem (unless the engine is spinning over as fast as normal, chances are it's not gonna catch).
