2005 S40 engine suddenly died on the road

any suggestions on where to start. still have all electric. no prior symptoms

It's really hard to say.
How much gas is in the tank?
Will the car turn over whilst turning the key on?
Any check engine lights?

From: Cincinnati, but somehow ended up in Milwaukee

My crystal ball is telling me to check the Cam Positioning Sensor...
I had an 850 just die on my on the highway once and this was the culpret
