Hi guys,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2005 S40, it's in amazing condition.

It is fitted with Volvo On Call, Sat Nav etc... and it has phone controls on the wheel and waterfall.

When I bought it, I was under the impression this would be to connect my phone via bluetooth (I was silly) however when I actually push the call button it tells me to insert sim card. I've tried googling this and amazingly almost nothing comes up, all topics seem to point towards the SIM tray being for a data SIM for Volvo On Call.

All I would like to know is, can I put my regular SIM from my phone into the SIM card holder, and make/receive calls using the phone controls in the car?

P.S. I should add that I'm in Europe, I know a lot of people say this feature doesn't really work in the U.S. etc but that doesn't apply here.
