Default 2005 volvo s40 part (help)

I have a 2005 volvo s40. I did a diagnostic because the engine light came on. Its giving me info to replace the fuel rail pressure sensor (a). the part number is 31272733. I have found the part online and i am able to purchase it. However, i opened up my hood to see if can see the old part to throw it away and put the new part in but i do not see it. Would this part be under the hood cover that i need to take apart.? Also, can i put this part in myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, remove the ENGINE cover. Its on the PS near the Oil Fill and Intake Manifold. All this info is on the web already, I found it by looking it up. Photos, DIYs step by step, YouTube videos, just look. Worst case, call your dealer and just ask.

I mean really:

Default 2005 s40 fuel pressure sensor

I replaced mine it was simple and saved me $300.00 Thanks to this site ! Dont forget to remove the fuse ..think it was 74 or 75 and start your car let it die on its on ..mine wouldnt even start after I removed the fuse .. then release pressure from the fuel line before you replace the part ....Zoom ..Zoom . then your good to go ....
