Did your car come with halogen lights originally?

if its like the 2.4i, you can run your hids when you turn the light switch to its regular on position, if it is on the DRL option your hids will flicker out after a few mins or seconds depending on the year.

If you want HID's do it the right way and buy a kit to do the upgrade properly...

I had the same problem when I installed my kit. You need to buy an anti-flicker module. it goes between the HID wire and the Ballast. Solves the problem instantly no matter what position your light switch is in. I got mine from a company on Amazon but you can probably find them on any site that sells HID kits. You just gotta make sure you get the right one. The company sent me a set for a BMW and it didn't work at all. They had to resend me the correct set.

Yeah when I installed my kit it worked most of the time but if you pull up behind a car you can see that the beam is flickering the entire time and like everyone else said it will eventually go out. the code cancelers are the way to go
