Default 2006 S40 T5 A/C malfunction

A/C intermittently stops working in my car recently - this has caused my windows to fog when I am driving in the rain or fog - this makes it impossible to drive - I am thinking this problem may be related to a computer malfunction because sometimes the windows won't go up and down, doors won't open - I have taken it into the service place on 2 occasions and they say nothing is wrong with it - has anybody had any problems like this with the A/C on S 40s? Has anyone had any computer type problems related to the A/C? Thank you

Yes there is a problem with the ac compressed clutch getting hot and won't turn all of the sudden so one minute the ac would work and then it stops working until it cools down. Most people re shim the compressor clutch.

Mine needed the de-shim. You remove one of 3 installed shims to move the compressor clutch face closer to the compressor. On my 2005 you can access the compressor while it's still on the engine.
