2006 V50 T5 AWD Oil Spraying From Oil Cap
So I replaced my PCV Breather / oil filter housing 18k miles ago. I don't know if its the cause but every time I open the hood there is oil on top of the cap and misting in the direction of the passenger. I let the car idle and tried to remove the cap while it as running. There was some pressure pushing up. I've already checked through the PCV brether lines and none are clogged. I've changed my oil every 3-4k miles so I find build up an unlikely suspect anyway.
Any ideas on the cause? I'm stumped
in the mean time the car runs fine i just wipe off the oil from the top every so often

Has this car had its PCV system overhauled as per the recall? Is the riser tube from the oil filter to the cyl. head corrugated or hose? Corrugated is brittle & bad.
The PCV recall replaced far more than just the hose; I believe there was a check valve IN the oil filter housing that was redesigned.

Yes, to answer the question. I replaced the whole oil filter housing and related hoses 18,000 miles ago. I had ordered the new housing from Ipd in 2013. I don't know what year the recall was?
