Found water on rugs -took car apart cleaned/dryed now have more water Me thinks I started from bottom up when I SHOULD have started from Top down ,so how to check sunroof/and drains?
Kinda depends on where the water is - it can come from a few places, including the sunroof drains, or the heater core, or the evaporator box (another clogged drain), or the windshield (failed seal / caulking), or the fender (ditto). And so on...
Ok ,thanks, NOW, the AIRBAG system trouble comes on the dash and we did have to remove all rugs due to A LOT OF WATER- is any electrical involved under the rugs?
I recently found two small ponds in the back floor areas. It turns out the sunroof drain became detached at the base in the left front corner of the dashboard. I plan to cut the tube and add an extension to make it just an inch or so longer so that it is long enough to be inserted into the attachment in the dashboard. The way it is now, the two tubes barely reach each other. The problem is I can't get my hand into the corner to push the tube into the receiving tube. I actually need two hands but it is so narrow. Any ideas? Thanks.
